Sabah Tourism lists the 16th Borneo Bird Festival for 7 and 8 November 2026 at the Rainforest Discovery Centre in Sepilok, near Sandakan. It is organised by the Borneo Bird Club and the Sabah Forestry Department, and described as an annual celebration of Borneo's birdlife that promotes conservation and ecotourism.
The festival was established in 2008. Activities include a Sabah Bird Race, photography competitions, guided birdwatching walks, and workshops on bird identification and conservation.
